Adeboye canvasses decongestion, conduciveness of prisons

Represented by the National Overseer, Pastor J. O. Obayemi, at the 2022 Conference third edition, organised by the church’s Prison and Hospital Ministry at the Redemption Camp on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, yesterday, the cleric explained that the prison should not be a place to breed more criminals, but to reform inmates as respectable citizens.

He pleaded with government to urgently treat cases that are not criminal and release the culprits. Others who spoke at the event include Continental Overseer/Assistant General Overseer Admin and Personnel, Pastor J.F. Odesola; Deputy Controller of Corrections (Welfare), Lagos State Command, Alagbon, Mrs. C.I. Obiosio; Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice William Akintoroye, who was represented by Sister Kemisola Obafemi; Professor of Surgery/Consultant Surgeon, Mobolaji Oludara, and legal practitioner, Dele Fadesere.
