Adelabu picks APC gubernatorial forms in Oyo

Former Minister of power, Adebayo Adelabu

Former Minister of Power and a governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has officially picked up the APC Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the 2027 governorship election.

He promised residents and indigenes of the state unprecedented development if elected as governor in 2027.

Adelabu, who was represented at the event by his aide, Ajiboye Akande, obtained the forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

ALSO, the senator representing Oyo South on the platform of the APC, Sharafadeen Alli, yesterday, obtained the party’s forms.

Alli was accompanied by senatorial aspirants from the state, including Senator Yusuf Akintunde, who is seeking to return to the Senate to represent Oyo Central, and Remi Oseni, who is contesting for the Oyo South senatorial ticket.

HOWEVER, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Niyi Aborisade, has unveiled a development blueprint for Oyo State ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election, promising what he described as “positive change” through purposeful leadership and practical governance.

In a statement made available to journalists, Aborisade said his aspiration is driven by a commitment to deliver measurable progress, stressing that leadership should be anchored on competence, preparation, and a clear vision rather than political endorsements.

He maintained that his focus is on presenting workable solutions to the challenges confronting the state, noting that residents deserve a leadership that prioritises results and inclusive development.
