The new commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Yakubu Dati, who was sworn in on Thursday and mandated by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to resume duty, has rolled out the itinerary for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the sate scheduled on Thursday, March 8.

Dati, who took over the leadership of the Ministry of Information yesterday from the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Christopher Bello, said that the President’s visit is for only one-day working visit.

He said the governor has already set up a 17-man Presidential Committee headed by the Chief of Staff, John Dafaan, to give Mr. President a befitting welcome.

Dati announced that the President would be arriving at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos by 10am after which there would be a brief airport ceremony and a guard of honour, adding that the president would proceed from there to Jos.

According to Dati, commissioning and inspection of road projects would start from Mararaban Jamaa expressway, the road at the state Secretariat junction and he would proceed to Miango Wild Life Park, Rafiki Road and Tudun Wada Old Junction.
