Adeyeye named new PDP spokesperson
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday assigned portfolios to the seven-member National Caretaker Committee at the maiden meeting of the staff at the national secretariat and the Peoples Democratic Institute, PDI, with the national caretaker committee, headed by Ahmed Makarfi.
The portfolios assigned include Makarfi as chairman and Ben Obi as secretary.
Dayo Adeyeye is the new National Publicity Secretary, while Aisha Aliyu is in charge of Women and Youth.
Former senator, Abdul Ningi, would be in charge of Organisation and Mobilisation; Odion Ogbesia, Finance, Treasury and Audit and Kabir Usman, would oversee the legal unit.
A statement signed by head of publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, recalled that the committee was constituted at the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 21, this year.
