Action Democratic Party (ADP) has applauded President Buhari over his stance at granting autonomy for local councils across the country.

National Chairman of the party, Yusuf Yabagi Sani who briefed reporters at the end of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting, he said the party noted that it behooves President Buhari to ensure availability of funds for the development of local councils in the country.

The party reiterated its call on the authorities to mandate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct local councils elections poll.

Applauding the federal government over the increase of minimum wage for workers, he maintained that implementation should be immediate to stave off the resultant inflationary tendency on the purchasing power of workers.

The party believes that the economy has the capacity to pay N100, 000.00 minimum per month. Calling on President Buhari to live up to his promises of ensuring the security of lives and properties in the polity.

The party argued that the abysmal performance of the economy is responsible for the mounting unemployment, deteriorating healthcare, the growing poverty level, the escalating number of children out of school, the declining Direct Foreign Investment, and the ever increasing migration of the youth are all traceable to the emergency security situation in Nigeria.
