Prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend.

Among them were Frank Agas, younger brother to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Prince Bright Oharisi, cousin to the member representing Ughelli North State Constituency II.

Hundreds of their supporters were also said to have crossed over to APC.

Agas and Oharisi vowed to work for APC’s victory in the 2019 general elections.

While Agas blamed the alleged poor performance of the PDP-led administration in the state for his defection, Oharisi said that his Delta Interest Group was never rewarded for their years of support.

Both men said that the APC won their hearts through the executive director (Projects) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Samuel Adjogbe, who was constructing roads and renovating schools in the area.

APC governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, promised the new-comers equal treatment with other members.
