Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya

AHEAD of the 2027 general elections a prominent supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya has announced the withdrawal of his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over lack of inclusivity, support his decision and desired recognition from leaders of the party despite his commitment and loyalty .

The Kebbi politician also known as Adam Fakai said he will henceforth hault promotion of all activities and programmes the seeks to promote policies of the Tinubu led Federal Government effective immediate .

In a statement, Fakai expressed frustration that he has spent more than two years using his personal resources, time and energy to publicise the achievements of the Tinubu administration across Northern and Southern Nigeria for the believe he has in the leadership of President Tinubu to develop Nigeria.

“I have spent more than two years using my money, time and energy to promote the programmes and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to Nigerians in both the North and South. I did so because I believed in his efforts to build a better Nigeria,” he said.

Fakai, however, alleged that despite his commitment, he had not received any encouragement, appreciation or support from APC leaders either in Kebbi State or at the federal level.

He claimed that although some prominent political figures had shared photographs and videos of government projects he personally visited and documented, none had reached out to acknowledge or support his efforts.

“I am from Kebbi State, and throughout this period, I never received any form of encouragement or support from politicians in my party, either at the state or federal level.

“It is unfortunate that some prominent figures at the federal level use the pictures and videos of government projects that I captured and shared, yet none has ever contacted me directly,” he said.

Fakai further expressed the opinion that he might have received greater support if he had come from another state.

He said the perceived neglect informed his decision to discontinue promoting the Tinubu administration.

Despite his decision, Fakai expressed appreciation to individuals who encouraged him with prayers and words of support during the period.

Checks show that Fakai became known on social media for visiting major Federal Government projects and publishing photographs, videos and reports aimed at informing the public about the programmes of the Tinubu administration.

Among the projects he highlighted were major road infrastructure and other development initiatives executed by the Federal Government.

Attempts to obtain reactions from the APC leadership in Kebbi State and officials of the Federal Government regarding Fakai’s claims were unsuccessful .
