Bus Public Speaking Academy is set to hold the first of its kind oratory competition for Ajegunle youths aimed at discovering hidden orators.
Speaking on the competition, the organiser and founder of the academy, Blessing Sunday, said the event is one borne out of the necessity to empower and sensitize young people in the environment to take up responsibilities of making the community a safe haven for all with the goal of changing the narrative of Ajegunle and exploring the richness of positive potential in the youth.
The academy is an institution committed to empowering young people to be dynamic and confident in expressing their personal ideas and corporate presentations at all levels through personal coaching, customised training and seminars.
The competition tagged, ‘King of Podium,’ with the theme: The role of youth in curbing community violence: A case study of Ajegunle, will kick off with an orientation on October 3, which will be followed by auditions on October 10 and 17, with the grand finale scheduled for Saturday, October 31.
