Akiolu predicts second term victory for Tinubu

Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Riliwanu Babatunde Akiolu

Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu, yesterday, disclosed that he dreamt that President Bola Tinubu would be re-elected President because his dream revealed that he would spend eight years as President of Nigeria.

Speaking during the visit of the 46th Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral A. A. Mustapha, to his palace, Akiolu, implored Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu as things would begin to turn out positively from the far-reaching reforms his administration had implemented.

The monarch maintained that the suffering of today is for a better tomorrow. The monarch stated that he predicted that Tinubu would be president and God answered the prayers.

Akiolu, who commended men and officers of the Nigerian Navy for their commitment and for standing out among the security forces in the country, stated that the task of securing and rebuilding the nation was the responsibility of all Nigerians.

“There is no doubt Nigeria has some problems, but we will overcome them. The suffering of today is for a better tomorrow. That is the only thing that will help us realise.”

He noted that the role of the Navy in Lagos was very important, stating that there was no right-thinking person who would not support the Navy in performing its duties. He asked that a joint intelligence board be put in place for intelligence gathering and sharing among the security agencies.

Speaking earlier, Mustapha said he was at the palace to seek the monarch’s support as the traditional institutions were very key in securing any community or environment.

He also stated that Lagos State was very key in his operational base as Lagos accounts for over 70 per cent of cargoes coming into Nigeria, aside from the strategic location of its water bodies.

Mustapha recalled an earlier encounter he had with Akiolu, where he advised him about preparing early for retirement so that he would not be caught unaware, disclosing that the advice had greatly helped him.
