Aliero advocates PPP to tackle bad roads
Chairman, Senate Committee on Works, Adamu Aliero, has advocated Public Private Partnership (PPP) to fix bad roads in the country. He made the call yesterday during the road inspection in Lagos, saying by the time Apapa-Oshodi and Oshodi-Oworoshoki expressway get completed, the road would last for 40 years because it was being constructed with concrete.
“We are satisfied with the level of work going on in Lagos and I can assure you that very soon, the road will be completed. “The road is the first road in the country being constructed with concrete and that is how roads are constructed abroad and by the time it is completed, it will serve Nigerians better.” “And because this is major gateway from the Lagos Ports into the country, it deserves to given good attention,” he said.
