Aliero wins, Na’Allah loses Kebbi senate seats

Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of Kebbi Central senatorial election, defeating Governor Abubakar Bagudu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of Kebbi Central senatorial election, defeating Governor Abubakar Bagudu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In Kebbi South, Sen. Bala Ibn Na’Allah of APC lost to Garba Maidoki of PDP.

Announcing the results, yesterday, at the INEC office, the Returning Officer (RO) for Kebbi Central, Prof. Abbas Yusuf, said Aliero polled 126,588 to defeat Bagudu, who polled 92,389.

RO for Kebbi South, Prof. Ibrahim Mohammed, said the PDP candidate polled 75,232 to win the election against Na’Allah who polled 70,785.

Na’Allah, a serving senator, was bidding for the Red Chamber for the third time.
