Amaechi reiterates December completion date for Lagos-Ibadan railway
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has again assured Nigerians that the Lagos-Ibadan railway will be delivered December this year.
The minister, who confirmed 60 per cent status of the project during his monthly tour, said 12 kilometres of the 156-kilometre track had been laid by the contractor, China Civil Aviation Construction Company (CCECC).
The former Rivers State governor said he had been briefed that the earth work, the important aspect of the project, had attained 90 per cent stretching from Ebute Metta in Lagos to Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
