A chieftain of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo State Augustine Emeana has urged Nigerians to be security cautious during the Easter celebration.

Emeana said he is a strong supporter of the Pro-Eastern Security network, to combat insecurity in the whole Eastern parts of the country.

He urged Nigerians, especially Southwesterners to work in unity against any menace of insecurity in different parts of Nigeria.

The APC chieftain condoled Governor David Umahi and the people of Ebonyi State, sympathizing with them over the death of members of the state.

He condemned the attack, describing it as a “despicable act, callous, wicked and devilish”.

The APC Chieftain enjoins her people to defend their selves, saying, the people should not wait until the government finds a remedy in protecting them.

According to him, “Nigeria is a multi-ethnic group, and every group has her custom and Traditions which must be respected by everyone and anyone whether the people of that region itself or people of other ethnic groups who have chosen or decided to settle in that region.”

He described the gruesome killings by suspected herdsmen in Ebonyi State as totally unacceptable.

He commended Buhari, Senate president Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representative Femi Gbajabiamila, IG of Police Mohammed Adamu, National leader of the APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu for working for peace in the country.
