Aregbesola tasks Immigration on efficiency
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has called on officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to ensure efficient use of resources for the smooth running of the organisation and optimal service delivery.
The minister gave the charge during the commissioning of a 1,031 capacity conference centre at the service headquarters in Abuja, yesterday.
The minister said efficient use of the facility would not only justify the government’s investment but also bring about better administration of the agency for quality service delivery to Nigerians.
Aregbesola observed that the event, which came at a time the Comptroller-General (CG), Muhammed Babandede, was retiring, attested to his love for a better establishment.
Responding at the unveiling of the 36-block transit camp story building for officers on transfer and temporary assignments, the CG explained that his organisation was ever disposed to the welfare of employees.
