A caucus within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, The Osun Progressives (TOP), has picked a former Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, as its aspirant to contest with Governor Gboyega Oyetola and immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yussuff, in the February 19, 2022 primary election of the party.

Secretary of TOP, Mr. Lani Baderinwa, a former Commissioner of Information in the state, confirmed that the group picked Adeoti because he is well tutored politically and from the Osun West Senatorial District.
