Troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have apprehended three individuals suspected of banditry and a key logistics supplier to a notorious terrorist group operating in Taraba State.
The suspects, Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu, were arrested in separate operations conducted on October 7, 2024. Abubakar, Bello, and Adamu were captured in Jeb, a border community between Taraba and Plateau states, located in the Karim-Lamido Local Council.
In a separate operation in Lau, troops arrested Musa Inusa, who is believed to be a significant logistics supplier for a terrorist group active in the region.
Captain Oni Olubodunde, acting spokesperson for the 6 Brigade, confirmed the arrests in a statement released yesterday. He stated that the army has strong evidence linking Inusa to a terrorist group operating in Taraba State. Items recovered from Inusa include a jackknife, N2,460 in cash, wraps of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp, and other illicit drugs.
