Aso Villa’s anti-corruption unit cautioned on betrayal of trust
Permanent Secretary, State House, Tijjani Umar, in Abuja, yesterday, warned that the management of the State House will not hesitate to make an example of anyone who betrays the trust and confidence reposed in him in the course of his or her assignment.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Permanent Secretary said: “We expect that the ACTU State House team that is being inaugurated, today, will not betray our trust and confidence, otherwise we shall be compelled to make an example of you in the event of any erring behaviour. I think that’s where we start from today.”
The seven newly inaugurated members are: Gaji Muhammed Usman, Chairman in Admin Department; Hadiza Haruna-Tanko, Finance and Account; Ubi Sunday, Procurement; Ayoola Olurin, State House Clinic; Omezi Onyema, Finance and Account; Hadiza Musa, Office of the Vice President; and Usman Mohammed, Maintenance.
