Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce have commiserated with Senator Ken Nnamani over the death of his wife, Jane Amaechi Nnamani.

“It is with sorrow and a deep sense of loss that I received the news of the death of Mrs Jane Nnamani, who died recently after a minor surgery,” Atiku tweeted.

“No doubt, the sudden exit of the amiable and supportive wife of the former Senate President, who has contributed immensely to the survival of our current democratic dispensation, will leave a vacuum difficult to be filled in the family and the constituency.

“On behalf of my family and my team, I wish to commiserate with my friend Distinguished Senator Ken Nnamani, his family and members of his constituency for this irreparable loss and I pray the Almighty, the benevolent and the merciful, to give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and to grant the deceased eternal rest.”

Murray-Bruce, who represented Bayelsa East in the Senate from 2015 to 2019, also commiserated with Nnamani following the demise of his spouse.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of Mrs Jane Nnamani’s passing. She was a beacon of strength, kindness, and wisdom, and her legacy will continue to inspire many.

“My heartfelt condolences to my good friend and brother, Senator Ken Nnamani, and the family during this difficult time.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May her soul rest in peace,” Murray-Bruce wrote.

Lady Nnamani who was in her early 60s, according to a family source, passed on in Enugu on Friday, May 5, 2023 after surgery.

She was a member of the Governing Council of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu, founded in 1979 where she was a final year doctorate degree student in Business Management.
