Avi-Cenna donates N7.5m to kids living with cancer, sickle cell

In keeping with its tradition, Avi-Cenna International School, Lagos has presented N7.5milliom cheques to two local charities taking care of children living with cancer and sickle cell.

The money was raised from school events and donations from students and parents.

Chairman of the school Mr. Darwish Foudeh, and the principal, Mr. David Ogburn presented a cheque of N5 million to Dr. Nwobi on behalf of the Children Living with Cancer Foundation. Another cheque of N2.5 million was presented to Dr. Akinyanju and Dr. Akinsete representing the Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria at the school’s premises in Ikeja.


Ogburn said “both organisations are dependent on financial contributions from the community and we are delighted to contribute our time, effort and money to such great causes.
