Aviation consultant tasks FG on fuel
A Lagos-based travel consultant, Kola Anigioro, has said that aviation fuel scarcity is seriously affecting the industry. In a chat with The Guardian, he disclosed that the scarcity has reduced the travelling traffic, which according to him has negative impact on business and the economy.
He noted that airlines are closing shops, leaving the nation’s airwaves for other countries.
“It is tough. This ugly scenario has, however, triggered a boom in the Ghanaian aviation sector, as more airlines now refuel in that country.
Aside from the increase in uplifting fuel from Ghana, there are also significant rise in the number of aircraft that land at the Kotoka International Airport, since the problem started,” he said.Anigioro informed that different airlines, majorly domestic ones, keep cancelling and delaying domestic flights.
