Bauchi Assembly mulls subsidising dialysis by 50 per cent

The Bauchi House of Assembly is deliberating on a bill that would make the state government subsidise dialysis in public hospitals.

The member representing Pali constituency, Yusuf Muhammad Bako, moved the motion yesterday while urging the legislature to make law that would reduce the cost of kidney treatment by 50 per cent to assuage the pains of patients.

After deliberation, the House adopted the motion and directed its Committee on Health to begin further considerations and come up with recommendations.
