Bauchi and Gombe governments have lamented the slow pace of work at Kolmani oil exploration site located within the two states.
Delegations from the two North East states, who visited the site to inspect and assess work progress, made the lamentation.
The Guardian learnt that the team comprises Bauchi State Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Muhammad Maiwada Bello; Commissioner for Commerce Trade and Investment, Muhammad Salis Gamawa, and Gombe State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Sanusi Ahmad Pindiga.
The commissioners were dissatisfied with the slow pace of work.
They requested the handlers to give an overview, including the expected completion time to enable close monitoring and interventions where necessary.
According to them, the northern community is eager to know the position of the project, tasking stakeholders to push the project to completion.
