Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammed has disclosed that the state government awarded road projects worth over N17b covering 92.6 kilometers in different parts of the state in the last three months.

He stated this at the weekend during a media briefing organised to mark his 100 days in office in Government House, Bauchi.

He alleged that former Governor Mohammad Abubakar inflated cost of projects during his four-year tenure, saying he (Abubakar) spent over N10b on a six- kilometer road, “but we have awarded 55 kilometers with only N8.8b.”

The governor said over N227 million has been spent on various projects in the health sector including renovation, purchasing of ambulances and repairs of X-Ray machines at Bauchi Specialist Hospital, Dass, Azare, Alkaleri, Ningi, Dambam and Gamawa.
