Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has sent six names of commissioners-designate to the Assembly for confirmation four months after the ambitious aides voluntarily resigned.

The Speaker announced the request on the floor of the Assembly during Tuesday’s plenary.

He said that the “Bauchi State House of Assembly received messages from the office of the Executive Governor of Bauchi State His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir requesting for the screening and confirmation of the following:

“Abdulkadir Ibrahim -Alkaleri LGA, Zainab Baban Takko -Bauchi LG, Adamu Babayo Gabarin -Darazo LG, Maryam Garba Bagel -Dass LG, Dr. Sabiu Abdu Gwalabe -Katagum LG and Ahmed Aliyu Jalam -Dambam LG.

Others are; DG Public Procurement Bureau, Joshua Titus Sanga, and Auditor General Sagir Abdullahi Muhammad.

The House has referred the screening of DG Public Procurement Bureau and Auditor General to the House committees of Appropriation and Public Account and gave the committees two weeks to report back. While the screening and confirmation of commissioner nominees was slated to 7 September 2022.
