Governor Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Haliru Jika of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), deputy governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Shehu Musa as well as Umar Ahmed of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and Ibrahim Makka of Labour Party (LP) attended the event.

Speaking after signing the accord at the State Police Headquarters, Governor Mohammed said he had instructed his supporters and loyalists to abide by the electoral guidelines and avoid violence.

He said: “We urge the electoral umpire to be just and equitable, making sure it does not use federal might for brutality and sectionalism. It should make sure that there’s no sacred cow and that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) works and accurate data are carried.”

Mohammed pledged to be peaceful and democratic during and after the election.
