The launch of a book, Learning about the Ndi Igbo, in Lagos yesterday, brought together prominent sons and daughters of Igboland to connect with culture as the event saw the display of different cultural Igbo dances and masquerades.

The book dealt with several aspects of the Ndi Igbo as it tries to document the past, analyse the present and focus on the future.

According to the Chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Patrick Dele Cole, there is no other book that talks about learning about other people’s cultures.

The chairman brought his prowess as a historian to bear as he took everyone on memory lane, pointing out the ills of the Nigerian civil war and what the world referred to today as the Holocaust that saw six million Jews killed by Germans.

The book is written by Agunze Chib Ikoku.
