An 18-year-old boy, identified has been arrested in Lagos after defiling a six-year-old girl.The Guardian learned that the incident was first reported on September 1 in the Isheri area of Lagos State.

According to the police, the survivor’s mother reported at the Isheri police station that on August 29, her daughter complained to her that when she needed to urinate, her private parts were hurting.

Uncomfortable with the excruciating pain, her mother pressed to know what happened to her private part, and the girl told her mother that Adeyemi of Isheri Road had carnal knowledge of her.

The spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said a medical report was issued to the victim for proper medical treatment while an investigation is ongoing.
