After years of empowering leaders and professionals across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, mindset coach and transformation expert, Uwem Umana, has returned to Nigeria to deliver a message that is both timeless and urgent: “You are the most important project you will ever manage.”

Having led initiatives through his acclaimed Enrich Your Mind (EYM) Junior Academy, where he nurtured the critical thinking and character development of young people in Nigeria during the COVID 19 era. Umana felt the call to reconnect with his homeland—not only to give back, but also to create a bridge of transformation for Nigerians seeking clarity, growth, and transcendence.

In June 2025, Umana introduced the Beyond Barriers programme to a Nigerian audience through a powerful Masterclass on June 23 and an Executive Coaching Session on June 25. The reception was extraordinary.

Beyond Barriers, co-developed with his long-time collaborator Sorie Kabba, is not just a coaching programme, it is a roadmap to self-discovery, personal mastery, and intentional living. Built on a foundation of self-awareness, it equips individuals to uncover their core strengths, values, and hidden potential, what Umana refers to as “the arsenal.” The programme helps participants identify the internal and external barriers that limit growth and provides practical frameworks to dismantle them.

“There are some obstacles we cannot control,” Umana explains, “but the internal ones, self-doubt, fear, limiting beliefs, those are within our power to overcome. Once you understand your arsenal, you learn not just to fight battles, but to choose which ones are worth fighting, and how.”

The Lagos cohort, hosted by SD Interiors and House of Splendour, described the experience as life-changing. Participants were guided through strength assessments, core values audits, SWOT exercises, and deep reflective work. Many left the programme with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.

Following this success, Umana will return to Lagos from July 21 to 25, 2025, for another transformative session. “Self-discovery is not a luxury; it is a necessity for leadership, productivity, and wellbeing,” he says. “Whether you’re a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a parent, a creative, or an entrepreneur, this programme is for you.”

The Beyond Barriers initiative continues to grow its global footprint, but for Umana, bringing it home to Nigeria is deeply personal. “Transformation doesn’t begin in the boardroom.
