President Muhammadu Buhari has approved new appointments in the Parastatals under the ministry of Communication and Digital Economy Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said the appointments are in line with the administration’s desire to facilitate the targets and mandate of the ministry.

The appointments are, Nigerians Communications Commission (NCC)Prof. Adeolu Akande (South West) who replaces Olabiyi Durojaiye as Chairman, Board of Commissioners – subject to Senate’s confirmation.Uche Onwude (South East) replaces Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume as Non-Executive Commissioner – subject to Senate’s confirmation.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has Dr. Abubakar Sa’id replacing Prof. Adeolu Akande as Board Chairman; Dr. Habibu Ahmed Imam (North West) replaces Dr. Lawal Bello Moriki and Dr. Mohammed Sa’idu Kumo as board member. For the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Dr. Ismail Adebayo Adewusi (South West) replaces Bisi Adegbuyi (South West) as Postmaster General/CEO Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), while Prof. Muhammed Bello Abubakar replaces Yusuf Kazaure.

For the Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat), Yusuf Kazaure replaces George Nnadubem Moghalu as Chairman, while Dr. Najeem Salam replaces Samson Osagie as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development.Prof. Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale replaces Kazeem Kolawole Raji as Executive Director, Technical Services, while Hadi Mohammed replaces Mohammed Lema Abubakar as Executive Director, Administration.
