Buhari greets Xi Jinping on Chinese lunar new year

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday felicitated with President Xi Jinping and citizens of the People’s Republic of China home and abroad, as they celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year beginning from January 25, 2020.

In a formal letter made available to newsmen by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President recounted the strides being taken in Nigeria-China relations, saying, “We have new opportunities for the mutual benefits of both countries.

“As celebrations of the Chinese Year of the Rat by Chinese community in Nigeria and across the world commence on January 25, on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, I extend my warmest and most sincere greetings and wishes to you and the Chinese people for a promising and auspicious Lunar New Year.”
