Buhari, Lalong, others eugolise PCA

President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked citizens and the government of Plateau State for producing a woman of substance to serve Nigeria as the President of the Court of Appeal (PCA).

Buhari spoke, at the weekend, on the first anniversary of the PCA, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, as she celebrated in Jos, Plateau.

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau, on his part, said “for the first time, a Plateau indigene is heading the Court of Appeal and by implication a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”

Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers were at the thanksgiving at COCIN Church in Jos.

Represented by the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, the President said he was proud of the PCA’s impartial dispensation of justice and wished her success in her endeavours.
