Buhari will get over 90% votes during elections 2019 in Abia State – APC chief

Austin Meregini, a chieftain of APC, has commented that the residents of Abia State will give 90% votes to the current President Muhammadu Buhari as the candidate of 2019 presidential election. On Monday, the 21st of January, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Lagos, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state expressed his great optimism concerning the possible re-election of Buhari in elections 2019.

As Meregini said, Muhammadu Buhari has performed appreciably well to win such a high percentage of votes in the state. He added that the commitment of the current president of Nigeria to Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway and the 2nd Niger had a meaningful effect.

Also, he didn’t omit the role of the party in such voting preferences in the state. The chieftain said that All Progressives Congress party is a household name and is dominating in Abia State, and he is sure that the residents of Abia will definitely vote for Muhammadu Buhari. Even though during the elections in 2015, Buhari has got less than 20,000 votes in Abia State, Austin Meregini gave his word that during the elections 2019 Muhammadu Buhari will get more than half of million votes in the state of Abia.

Austin Meregini said that the APC leadership in Abia State also had done an excellent job to deliver massive votes for Buhari. He meant that fact that they have done a quality representation to the people including orientation, awareness, education, and sensitization of Abians on the intention of the current president as a candidate of the 2019 election.

Meregini also stressed on the responsibility of the state government for most federal-sponsored projects and advised the Abians to vote for Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election that will be held on the 16th of February, 2019, claiming that the current president can do a lot for Abia State and the country. He added that Abia is in a comfortable position in the government ruled by APC now.

The chieftain of APC in Abia also reminded the residents of the state about that fact that Abia indigenes had very important portfolios in the current government, naming the minister of state for foreign affairs and the minister of trade and investment.

As it was previously reported by Legit.ng, Sheikh Yakubu Musa-Katsina who is the leader of the Izala Islamic sect in Katsina state, during an interview with the NAN on the 20th of January, 2019, in Daura, encouraged his members to support President Buhari and Governor Masari at the elections 2019 wholeheartedly.

Sheikh Yakubu Musa-Katsina said that the Izala Islamic sect in Katsina state had formed 7 formidable committees the main task of which is to sensitise their members to re-elect the abovementioned candidates during the general elections in 2019. He added that the voter-strength of the religious body is two and a half million.
