Buhari, Yoruba youths laud Badenoch’s appointment as British minister
President Muhammadu Buhari and the Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA) Worldwide have commended the appointment of British-Nigerian born lawmaker, Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch, as Minister of Children and Families by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Describing the appointment as “well-deserved” in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the president urged the 39-year to use her new position to make a lasting impact.
In another statement by YYSA’s national secretary, Olawale Ajao in Ibadan, the group urged the appointee to bring to bear in her new office the rich Yoruba culture by projecting the future of children not only in United Kingdom but globally.
