The contractor handling Lagos-Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail line, China Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation (CCECC), said that it would deliver the project as scheduled despite all challenges.

However, the firm said it was concerned about the challenges and the plights some communities are facing as a result of the project. Project Co-ordinator, Xia Lijun, gave the assurance at the weekend when he led some journalists on the trial running of the Lagos-Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail line in Lagos.He said that the project’s speed in Lagos axis was reduced due to the urban development and other peculiarities of Lagos.
