Cleric blames weak families for rising social vices

Relationship counselor, Pastor Bisi Adewale of the Family Boosters Ministry, has linked the continuous spate of kidnapping, cultism, rape, killings and other forms of social vices to the weak family institution. He said though government cannot be absolved of blames, “the weak family foundation is the effect of the eroding social values today leading to the rampart vices in society.

“If everybody is able to have good families and they are able to raise godly children, there won’t be a single kidnapper, armed robber or criminals on the street. When people miss their palaces, they end up in prisons. But my idea is that let’s turn our homes to palaces where every parent is equipped both mentally and financially to take care of their children,” he said.

On this year’s marriage seminar of the ministry, Adewale disclosed that gospel artiste, Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji, will headline the event to discuss issues of divorce and marriage at this year’s Lagos singles and married conference with the theme: Marriage 5-5-5, holding on October 27, at the National Stadium Gymnasium Hall, Surulere, Lagos by 2:00p.m.

According to the host, the conference, which is part of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the ministry, seeks to expose things that destroy marriages to help the society build a strong family, noting that there is no nation and society without the family.
