The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old sex worker, Riyanatu Musa, for allegedly stabbing a bartender, Yohanna Musa, to death during a fight.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspect killed Yohanna over N200 balance.

Riyanatu, a resident of Mubi South LGA, while confessing to the crime, said she collected dry gin known as “big benz and Yahoo” from the deceased and promised to pay the following day.

She said she paid the sum of N1,500, leaving a balance of N200 to be paid. This resulted in a fight in which she stabbed Yohanna in the chest with a knife.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered for discreet investigation into the matter and warned the public against taking laws into their own hands.
