An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has fixed January 19 next year for ruling in a suit filed by former governor and Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, against the state government and the panel it set up to review the Olubadan stool.
The court also adjourned judgment in another suit filed by the Olubadan of Ibadan till February 1.
Ladoja is praying the court to stop the report submitted to Governor Abiola Ajimobi by the Justice Akintunde Boade-led Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration.
He also prayed the court to nullify the proceedings of the panel and its report.
The governor had on May 19 this year inaugurated the panel to review the process leading to the emergence of the Olubadan of Ibadaland.
Consequently, it recommended the crowning of about 32 monarchs in Ibadan with Olubadan as the paramount ruler.
Justice Olajumoke Aiki adjourned for ruling after entertaining the arguments of counsel to all the parties in the suit.
