The Christian Reformed Church-Nigeria (CRC-N) has provided free medical services to less privileged members of the society in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare at the grassroots.

The medical outreach, held at CRC-N Hospital in Wukari, offered beneficiaries free medical consultations, treatment and other essential healthcare services.

Speaking during the exercise, President of CRC-N, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jirapye Magaji, said the initiative was part of activities marking the church’s Annual Week of Sacrifice.

Magaji explained that the outreach reflected the church’s vision and commitment to its corporate social responsibility, particularly in supporting vulnerable members of the community.

He noted that service to humanity remained a fundamental aspect of the Christian mandate, adding that the initiative was designed to assist people who could not afford basic medical care.

The CRC-N president reaffirmed the church’s commitment to programmes aimed at promoting the wellbeing of members of the society, especially the less privileged.

Also speaking, the Officer-in-Charge of CRC-N Hospital, Mr. Timothy Nehemiah, said the outreach was organised to bring essential healthcare services closer to the community and help prevent avoidable deaths associated with limited access to medical attention.

Nehemiah assured beneficiaries that they would receive appropriate medical care throughout the exercise.
