Dangote Petroleum commits to stable petrol prices amid global fluctuations

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has pledged to maintain stable petrol prices despite ongoing fluctuations in global crude oil prices.

The commitment was highlighted in a statement issued Monday in Lagos by Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Petroleum.

Chiejina noted that the company has consistently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) as part of its efforts to support Nigeria’s economy and ease the financial pressure on consumers.

“This decision reflects our commitment to delivering affordable, high-quality petroleum products without compromising efficiency or sustainability,” he said.

He also pointed out that Dangote’s initiatives align with the Federal Government’s Nigeria First policy, which emphasises local production and supports President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for economic recovery and national development.

“Refining petroleum products locally at the world’s largest single-train refinery allows us to significantly contribute to Nigeria’s energy security, conserve foreign exchange, and bolster economic resilience,” Chiejina stated.

He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for facilitating the Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has helped reduce fuel prices for Nigerians.

The company reassured consumers, partners, and the government of its ongoing focus on operational excellence and serving national interests.

“Affordability, quality, and national interest will always guide our operations,” the statement added.
