Dele Giwa’s family cries for justice

Dele Giwa’s family has demanded justice for the late former Editor of the now-defunct Newswatch magazine. Dele Giwa was killed by a letter bomb in his Lagos home on October 19, 1986.

Ever since, nobody has been held responsible for his assassination.

In an interview with The Guardian, the deceased’s junior brother, Tunde Giwa, wondered why the late journalist’s killers had not been arrested and prosecuted 34 years after the incident.

According to him, the Giwa family is not happy that the Federal Government has not honoured their son or compensate those he left behind.
