The Ebonyi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has berated Governor David Umahi over an alleged statement made by him against the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

During a thanksgiving programme in honour of Senators Sam Egwu and Sunny Ogbuoji and the state’s Deputy Governor Eric Igwe at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, Umahi was reported to have described Onu as a ‘political jobber.’

At a news briefing in Abakaliki, the state Acting Chairman of the party, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze condemned the governor for the statement. The acting chairman said Umahi was already aware that he would not return as governor in 2019, as the APC was prepared to take power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
