Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, yesterday inaugurated the construction work of a juice production company at the Omoluabi Free Trade Zone, Osogbo. The company is owned by Collins Crown Limited. This is just as he reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business and eliminate identifiable bottlenecks that can discourage investors.

Speaking, he said the citing of the company in Osogbo was apt, as the state is economically endowed with great potential for fruits harvest and the fruit juice production plant was necessary so that several tons of agricultural produce which rot away annually could be gainfully utilised as raw materials for the industry. He added that they’re poised to harness Osun’s potential in all sectors for maximum socio-economic gains.

Oyetola said that the state under his watch had successfully nurtured the economy to support the dreams of entrepreneurs by providing the requisite infrastructure to support their efforts while putting in place the right policy frameworks to facilitate hitch-free business experience. He further noted that the construction of the company was in line with his commitment to ensuring that massive investment opportunities available in the state are taken advantage of by wise investors.

“Following the Economic and Investment Summit we hosted in 2019, we established the Osun Investment and Promotion Agency (OSIPA) to interface with investors. Only few days ago, I inaugurated the state council for the implementation of the national policy on MSMEs. This is to further support our implementation of relevant policies to support business operations in our State. I assure you that we will continue to work with the organised private sector to ensure that your investment experience is truly rewarding.”

Earlier, State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Bode Olaonipekun, said the establishment of the juice industry would break the jinx of reviving the moribund free trade zone to maximum capacity. He assured of the government’s utmost support to ensure the success of the project, as the ministry would continue to provide enabling environment for investments to thrive.

Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, commended Governor Oyetola for being committed to socioeconomic and infrastructural development of the state since inception of his administration. Chairman, Collins Crown Limited, Kola Adeyemo, said they’re prepared to ensure successful completion and take-off of the project, noting that all needed facilities were on ground.
