EFCC nabs suspected currency forgers

The Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two suspected currency forgers.

The Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two suspected currency forgers.

The suspects are Odoh Lazarus Offor and Nnamani Emmanuel. A total of $20,000 fake notes were recovered from them.

They were arrested in Wuse Zone 4, following a report by a Bureau de Change operator whom they wanted to sell the fake currencies to. 

The suspects, who claimed ignorance of the fake currency, according to the reliable source are currently in EFCC’s custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
