Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has called on all Muslim faithful to use the special spiritual significance of Eid el-Kabir to pray for Anambra State and Nigeria generally for an enduring peace, unity, and progress.
The governor, in a statement conveyed the State administration’s felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el-Kabir.
The governor in his goodwill message, noted that the Sallah festival holds profound universal significance, that reminds Muslims of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to divine will and the common good of humanity.
He emphasised the importance of sharing meals, extending acts of charity, and fostering mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, irrespective of religious or ethnic background.
Soludo reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Anambra State and to creating an environment where every citizen can celebrate in peace during the season and beyond.
Governor Soludo warmly wished all Muslims a happy Barka da Sallah, praying that the blessings of the season fill every home with joy, happiness, peace, and prosperity.
Alhaji Bukar Hassan thanked Almighty Allah for enabling the Muslims faithful all through the fasting period.
Alh Hassan who is the developer of the Anambra State International Market, Oba -Idemili South Council, prayed Allah for abundant blessings to all citizens.
He prayed for continued blessings considering the numerous economic and social challenges being experienced.
Also Chief Dozie Nwankwo, wished his Muslim faithful well this period and beyond. He prayed for Almighty God’s abundant grace and blessings all through the period.
Nwankwo also prayed for God’s blessings and protection for the entire Nigerian children as they cheerfully celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, May 27. He wished them well.
