The First Lady, in her message on Friday, urged the Muslim faithful in the country to emulate the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

She described the Prophet’s life as one of humility, compassion, forgiveness, and devotion to Allah, stressing that Nigerians should reflect these values in their daily lives by showing love, kindness, and unity.

She further called on the faithful to use the occasion to pray for peace, prosperity, and progress in the country, wishing all Nigerians a blessed Eid-El-Maulud.

In a statement, Sanwo-Olu called on Nigerian Muslims to use the occasion of the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday to reflect deeply on the life and legacy of the spiritual leader and let those virtues guide their daily lives.

Sanwo-Olu described Prophet Muhammad’s life of kindness, compassion and uprightness as worthy of emulation by adherents of Islam, calling on them to embody these virtues in totality.

“It is important to emulate all the great virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as those will help to impact positively on our dear state and country as a whole.

“I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to use the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Maulud to pray to Allah for a more peaceful and united country.”
On his part, Isola, the revered diplomat and 2027 gubernatorial hopeful in Ogun State, called for renewed commitment to peace, compassion, and unity across the state, emphasising the timeless values exemplified by the prophet.  He urged residents and people of the state to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings of love, tolerance, and service to humanity.

“Maulud Nabiy is a time to celebrate the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whose exemplary character continues to inspire us to live with compassion, foster peace, and build stronger communities. I encourage the good people of Ogun State to embrace these values as we work together for progress and unity,” he said.

Isola, who also holds the title of Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, highlighted the importance of religious tolerance in fostering harmony between Muslims and Christians in Ogun State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Similarly, the Chief of Defence Staff, Musa, felicitated with the officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of 2025 Eid el-Maulud celebration.

“I urge you to observe this event as a time for reflection on unity, commitment and loyalty. As the Prophet brought hope and good tidings to the world, so must we be promoters of peaceful coexistence and optimism – strengthening the bonds within our ranks and across our nation as we continue to serve with integrity, professionalism and dedication,” Musa said. He assured Nigerians of the commitment of the armed forces to preserving national unity and fostering peaceful coexistence throughout the country.

Also, in a goodwill message to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Issa-Onilu, urged Muslims to embrace forgiveness and emulate the noble life and teachings of the Prophet, which remain a guide for peaceful and upright living.

Issa-Onilu added that unity among Nigerians remains a vital weapon in the fight against insecurity, stressing that when citizens stand together and actively support security efforts, the nation is better positioned to overcome violence, restore peace, and build lasting stability.

In a statement, the agency’s Director of Communication and Media, Bala Musa, described Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as an embodiment of unity, peace, and compassion.  He urged Muslim faithful to draw lessons from his teachings and traditions by fostering tolerance and promoting national unity.
