Eva Adelaja old girls new executives visit alma mater

The newly elected national officers of Old Girls Association of Eva Adelaja Girls Secondary Grammar School, Bariga, led by the National President, Mrs. Rhoda Ayinde  paid a courtesy visit to the alma mater where they were received by the Principals of the Junior and Senior schools.

   
While commending the principal for promoting good standards in the schools, Ayinde, said the scenery of the schools shows that both the teaching and non-teaching staff are doing a lot in their quest to take the schools to great heights.
   
According to her, the purpose of the visit was to identify areas of concern and develop partnerships for the benefit of both two schools.
 
“We are here to build on the legacy of previous excos, by nurturing students to become women of substance and shining lights in the world.
 
“We want to be part of the orientation programme for new intakes of Junior Secondary School (JSS) by sharing our experiences to motivate them. We would also like to attend the valedictory service for Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) with a view to inducting the three graduates into OGA. We want to catch them young,” she said.
   
Responding, the Principal of the Senior Secondary School, Mrs. Olayinka Soyoye, thanked OGA for the visit, emphasising the presence and impact of OGA in virtually all areas   of the school, for which an award of appreciation was presented to OGA during the school’s 7th Annual Speech & Prize Giving Day inn March 2022.
   
She appealed to OGA to support the school’s management with the renovation of classroom blocks, purchase of a new school bus, and construction of a hostel for senior high school students, among other things.
   
Principal of the Junior Secondary School, Mrs Olanrewaju Buhari commended OGA for its ongoing support in form of scholarships and provision of essential amenities to the students.
