Ex-CDS Petinrin lauds reversal of education policies in Osun
The former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin (rtd), has lauded Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola, for restoring the 6-3-3-4 education system and wearing of old school uniforms by primary and secondary school pupils in the state.
He said the reversal of the school classification and common uniforms, among others, by the current administration, was a right decision that would enhance performance and bring the state back to the national policy on education.
Petinrin, who spoke during an interaction session with a team of the state’s Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation led by Special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Oyintiloye Olatunbosun, at his country home, Ipetu-Ijesa in Oriade Local Council of the state, described Oyetola as a level-headed leader who wants the best for the citizens.
He, therefore, implored the state to leverage on the relative peaceful environment and make the state the destination of investors to boost its economy. Also, he charged the state government to make maximum use of its endowments.
