As part of activities marking the 7th year memorial anniversary of the Human Right Activist and pan Africanist, late Chief Abdul-Ganiyu Oyesola Fawehinmi, the Gani Fawehinmi Organisation (GAFAMORG), has planned a public lecture to discuss issues of public interest tomorrow, at The Dome and International Conference Centre in Akure, Ondo State.

Chairman of the organisation, Ayodele Akele, who disclosed this at a media parley in Lagos, said it is imperative to remember Gani with “those things he would have done, battles he would have fought on behalf of the masses and the several articles he would have written to challenge the unjust decisions of the government towards the travails of the masses.”

He said the theme of the lecture is “The State of Nigeria: Impunity, Human Rights Abuse, Anti-Corruption War,” adding that the lecture will be delivered by Barrister Ebun-Olu Adegborowa, alongside former Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa, who would chair the occasion.

“The ultimate aim of GAFAMORG is to continue with the struggle for the liberation of the toiling and oppressed masses and to work in alliance with all pro-masses organisations and National Conscience Party (NCP), a political party founded by Chief Gani Fawehinmi,” Akele surmised.
