Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State

The trial of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, will resume at the Federal High Court, Lagos, on October 21.

Fayose, who was first arraigned on October 22, 2018, alongside Spotless Investment Ltd, on 11 counts, pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail on October 24, 2018, in the sum of N50 million with sureties in like sum.

The defendant was subsequently re-arraigned but also pleaded not guilty to the charges and was allowed to continue on the earlier bail granted.

However, the case will now come upon October 21, 2019, as judges are away for the yearly conference after the long vacation of the court.
