FCT seeks special status as Senate okays Yusuf as CJ

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Bello, has advocated a special revenue status for the territory.
During an advocacy and sensitisation meeting on the review of the revenue allocation formula, yesterday, in Abuja, the minister suggested a review of the existing revenue sharing formula to make it fair and equitable.
Also, the Senate has confirmed the nomination of Justice Husseini Yusuf as Chief Judge (CJ) of the FCT High Court.
Yusuf’s confirmation was sequel to the consideration of a report by the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.
